Box Necklace

A box necklace, also known as a Venetian or square link chain, is a jewelry chain composed of small, square or box-shaped links that are tightly interlocked to form a smooth, continuous, and often geometric pattern.  

These chains are great for pendants; the flat sides give a smooth “track” allowing pendants to slide nicely and don’t snag. Many jewelers default to box chains as pendant chains.
